First, as part of a multi‑year collaboration with Deutsche Telekom, Mavenir’s cloud‑native 5G Core software and energy‑aware automation capabilities have been central to achieving up to 65% energy savings in live network validation, setting a new benchmark for sustainable, high‑performance 5G Core operations in Europe. Telefónica und Mavenir schließen strategische Partnerschaft zur Beschleunigung von KI-Innovationen in der Telekommunikationsbranche

MADRID, Feb. 19, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Telefónica, S.A., ein weltweit führender Anbieter integrierter Kommunikationslösungen, und Mavenir Systems Limited, ein auf Telekommunikation spezialisierter, cloud-nativer Technologieanbieter mit Schwerpunkt auf KI, gaben heute die Unterzeichnung einer wegweisenden Absichtserklärung (Memorandum of Understanding, MOU) zur Gründung eines gemeinsamen KI-Innovationszentrums bekannt. Ziel dieses Kooperationslabors ist die beschleunigte Integration künstlicher Intelligenz in die Weiterentwicklung von Kernnetzen.

Das KI-Innovationszentrum dient als Testumgebung für die Entwicklung, Validierung und Optimierung fortschrittlicher Funktionen wie KI-gesteuerte autonome Netzwerkorchestrierung, absichtsbasierte Dienste und KI-gestützte Monetarisierungsframeworks.
